A possible new league and playoff structure in all Divisions was discussed.  A suggestion was made to increase our league schedule and somehow incorporate our provincial representative playoff separate from league play.  Centres were encouraged to consider some possible alternatives during the off-season and forward their proposals to Bruce prior to August 18/09.

Midget teams were requested to consider how to deal with Lloydminster during provincial playoffs if our playoff structure remains the same.

Bruce stated that the issue of teams entering tournaments during playoffs should be discussed at the Annual Meeting as this has become a regular problem during the past couple of seasons.  He feels that if a team is still in playoffs and is booked for a tournament, they must withdraw from the tournament.

Bruce, finishing his 12th year as President, reported that he has decided to step down.  Bruce shared his reasons behind this decision.  He enjoyed the experience and all the new friendships he made over the years.  Bruce thanked all personnel involved with the teams.  We encourage you all to go back to your communities and try to find someone to fill this position.

The SHA meeting will be held June 5,6  in Saskatoon.
